Good Morning Everyone, As we are about to end a school year in about 13 days, I have recently transferred to a new place to be a librarian/media specialsit. I will be at a school that is highly rated by the state but the problem is that they do not have new books in the library. I am in desperate need to get a grant or some type of funding to get books for my students at the new school. I am transferring from a low income school who got over $30000 in new books this year and now I will be at a NON - low income school and there is no funding from the district to get new books because they do not qualify because they are not considered a 'SCHOOL of NEED'. Yes we can always use PTO funds but what else can I do to get what is owed to my students through grants and other funding avenues. In otherwords, can you please give advice on how I can get money or books for my new school?
