Hello all- As we plan a new training space (and building!) in our College, I have the opportunity to consider some of the latest technology in display systems. My hope is to be able to install a display unit (approx. 8' high by 14' wide) that can display multiple (4 would be a good number), unique images side by side, top to bottom. As an example one display could be PowerPoint, the 2nd a web browser, the 3rd a electronic whiteboard, and the 4th a social media site. My original thought was a LED unit like you see at many outdoor venues- concerts and such. I haven't found much info on these yet outside of companies that lease them as needed. Their resolution/cost may not work for our needs. I have found more info on stackable units that one uses to "build" a display of whatever size is desired, but they are fairly bulky and in my mind somewhat antiquated. I was hoping to find a thin LED solution (lower power requirements) with high image quality for displaying computer graphics. Does anyone have any info they would share with me on this? Vendors, first hand experiences, anything that I could use to hone in on a solution. I feel rushed to provide electrical specs, mechanical specs, and so as the project engineers continue to chip away at the building design! Appreciate anything you can send my way! Thanks. -craig --- Edtech Archives, posting guidelines and other information are at: http://www.h-net.msu.edu/~edweb Please include your name, email address, and school or professional affiliation in each posting.
