We purchased an Acer Netbook last year and had to install XP Pro on it. Below are the directions we were given. It's working great! 1. Attach USB floppy drive 2. Copy SATA/RAID drivers to a floppy (Intel IMSM Driver\f6flpy32) 3. Reboot and boot from XP Setup disc using external optical drive 4. F12 to enter boot manager, select USB cdrom and click enter 5. Look at the bottom of the screen and hit F6 when it says "Press F6 to load 3rd party SCSI/RAID Drivers" 6. When asked to “specify additional SCSI adapters press S 7. A screen will show a list of drivers to load from the floppy (ICH7-M is the choice) 8. Select the driver there and XP Setup should be able to detect your hard drive 9.
