Lowell School, a progressive, co-ed school of 300 students in NW Washington DC, 3 year olds to grade 6, is currently accepting resumes for the position of Academic Technologist. The purpose of this position is to provide technology support and integration, including the generation of new ideas, for classroom teachers, and to provide direct instruction to students. In addition, the academic technologist is responsible for helping with the academic portions of the web site and other internal and external marketing of technology integration. Some technical support is also part of the position. Ideal candidates will have a graduate degree, teaching experience, a deep understanding of technology integration, substantive experience in hardware and software support and a familiarity with a 1:1 laptop program, especially Mac-based. The person hired will work closely with the technology team and is a direct report to the Head of School.
